Your height is important in bike fit calculations, but what’s more important is ‘Standover Height’. This is also referred to as ‘Inseam’ measurement, and it’s really important.
You have to be able to put both feet on the ground when you’re off the seat of the bike. This is a critical piece of rider safety. Matching your Inseam to the bike’s Standover Height is the first thing we do when choosing the right bike for you.
When you come into our store and you’re planning to buy a bike, we’ll measure your height and your inseam. This basic measurement is absolutely free for all CBC customers.
If you’re already riding and you want to check that your fit is correct, our Static Bike Fit service is the next step.
